Jackson is 21 months and LOVES breastfeeding. I have been told he's old enough even by a freakin' DOCTOR. It drives me crazy. Like we push women to breastfeed in the beginning (I couldn't bf Riley and felt guilty after stopping pumping at 2 months) but then we turn it around and push women to stop by a certain point. Like "they can ask for it so they're too old" even though a baby can sign "milk" early on. Or "they eat other things and can drink from a cup so they're too old" even though there are benefits from breastmilk that Dr. Jack Newman states are greater in the 2nd year than in the 1st because naturally your child is exposed to more at this age. Anyway, it's all very annoying and we continue to breastfeed dispite everyone around us thinking I should have stopped at the sign of any teeth in Jackson's mouth.

So keep on keepin' on. I feel ya. :)Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01492898465897070415noreply@blogger.com
