One thing I would l...Once again I agree with you.

One thing I would like to do away with is the BMI. Which is a load of crap. At my thinnest, when I was an AUS size 10 (US 8 I believe) my BMI put me right up in the overweight category.

Seriously?

I was approached at the hospital at an ANTENATAL appointment after they read my weight on a chart and asked if I wanted to participate in a study on OBESITY in pregnancy.

Seriously?

I accept that I weigh more than others. (Perhaps I am, in the immortal words of Cartman "big boned") But I am not fat. Stop telling me I am obese. And stop quoting BMI numbers like they are the damn bible on weight and health. "Ohh your BMI is (insert pointless number here) you are going to DIIIIEEEE you are so fat."

mhmm.

I'm with you. Thin does NOT always equal healthy, and fat does NOT always equal unhealthy.

What is unhealthy is placing SO MUCH pressure on our young women and girls, that there are 6 year olds. 6 YEAR OLDS with eating disorders. Now THAT'S disgraceful, THAT'S unhealthy.Suzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10979257233557088253noreply@blogger.com
